The Goal
The Pursuit Wine Bar in Washington, DC was relocating to a newly built location, and needed to generate press and social media buzz for their grand reopening.
The Approach
Meaghan worked with The Pursuit’s owners to craft a press and social media strategy in order to boost awareness in DC about the grand reopening. The strategy included a press release that Meaghan drafted, sent to key food and beverage writers in the DC area, a photoshoot by Meaghan to accompany the release, and two weeks’ worth of social media posts leading up to the reopening, and a dedicated influencer event.
The Results
The press release on The Pursuit’s reopening was immediately picked up by Eater DC in a lengthy feature that included numerous photos of the new space.
The release was also picked up by DCist ahead of the grand reopening.
The content calendar of social posts Meaghan assembled for The Pursuit’s owners was crucial to their ability to quickly and effectively get the news of the reopening out on their Instagram page at a time when focusing on the logistics of the reopening was their top priority.
